So I have finally found my way back home and to a constant supply of internet!

After leaving San Jose on the 20th at 6am with tickets for 4 flights which turned into 5 flights because of a sneaky stop over in Brisbane but then after missing a connecting flight to Melbourne from Sydney Qantas had mercy on me and gave me a direct flight to Perth I somehow managed to arrive back home on the 22nd at 6pm.

Total time spent in airports- 22hours, with an 10 hour stop over in Dallas surviving on $13 and 8 hours in Sydney attempting to stalk Arj Barker. 

Total time spent in planes- 25 hours, in which none actually carried the vegetarian meal I had specified in my booking details. Air hostesses who actually gave a fuck about my need to eat- 1, on my 4 hour flight to Perth I had a dangerous supply of pretzels, cheese, crackers and biscuits. 

I have returned home to find my parents have transformed my former bomb site of a bedroom in to a habitable living space and bought a third car for me and my brother to pimp up with our loud speakers and trash with McDonalds wrappers. 

Its so good to be finally home. I loved my time in Costa Rica but nothing really beats your own bed and the ability to flush used toilet paper. 

I’m sure I’llhave more stories and pictures to show you all later, but right now its 5.40 am and my body wants lunch.

I’m back, having completed two weeks of volunteer work in the tiny village of San Pedro in the central costa rican highlands. I am now permanently covered in paint, cement and giant mossy bites, thank medicine for itch cream and anti malaria tablets! I have met some of the most wonderful people and can even understand about 60% of what they’re saying to me. Looking forward to a relaxing 3 days at the beautiful Samara beach kayaking, attempting to surf and hopefully fitting in a massage :) Nic x.

Well it’s morning here anyways. My recent absence from the tumbl space is actually not due to my usual laziness but I have actually been doing shit. For the last week I’ve been learning Spanish and Latin dancing in Costa Rica. This morning we leave to do our volunteer work with the local communities so I thought I would check in and get my fill of semi nude women, meme’s and kittens before spending the next two weeks in an internetless wasteland. Take care of each other and take advantage of your hot showers because I sure won’t be able to! Love Nic xx
